John Edwards give up his bid for the nomination today and I wonder how the tone will change in this campaign.  His voice was strong and loud, frequently adding sharp notes to the process.  I hope the volume of voices will go up, not down.

Middle January in the Upper Peninsula is a time when most of us start thinking about sunshine. We never get enough of it during winter so it was nice to see a bit of it this morning.
