Jeremy1This show with Jeremy is one I’ve been looking forward to for some time - not only because I really like his music, but also because he lives here in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where I do. Jeremy’s music has intensity of emotion, vivid imagery, is very personal, and even a little humor sometimes. He is working on his first full-length album but has several songs recorded. We finally got together for this show in which he shared five of his songs and the creative process behind his music.

This show is long. If you have trouble downloading the full version, you may wish to stream it from your computer here at procrasticast.com. You may not have a high-speed connection. In that case, please let me know and maybe I can cut the show into 2 or 3 parts for easier downloading.

Songs played include:

“In Line to Die,” a tribute to one of Jeremy’s buddies who had to go to war in Iraq.

“Caffeine & Nicotine,” is about the obvious. It’s a bluesy tune just for fun of it.

“Innocence, In a Sense,” is a song that has been quite popular on local radio, and with fans.

“The Bends,” is a very visual ghost story song about the Kamloops, a ship that sank in 260 feet if icy Lake Superior waters only 75 yards off the NW shore of Isle Royale in December of 1927. None of the 22 crew survived. A few crew remains were found in the spring on the shore, the men having frozen to death huddled around a campfire site, but only after being discovered by wolves. Jeremy’s father and mother dove the site. Jeremy wrote a story / song inspired by diving stories as well as a graphic photograph taken of the wreck site by his father that Jeremy recalls seeing as a child.

“Heaven with a Greenstone” is an acoustic song providing some closure to the shipwreck victims.
